HBM440 ALU bandsaw; the world's fastest!

system at Mach 08

Kaltenbach had a continual stream of visitors to their Mach 08 stand, with the new machines as expected having the greatest appeal.

The close-coupled KBS/KDS saw/drill system, with contour marking and solid carbide drilling was of particular interest, creating disbelief through its astonishingly fast sawing and drilling capability. The new Intelligent Blade Control (IBC) system from Behringer, demonstrated on an HBP413A straight-cutting bandsaw machine and the HBM440 ALU ultra high speed bandsaw, demonstrated as the world’s fasted, also received very favourable attention.

Other new machines to create a lot of visitor interest were the new Kaltenbach KPS506 punch and shear line for strip-fed plate, including a plasma option; the Stierli Bierger, Rotator; a handling system to ease the handling, welding and processing of fabricated materials and the Behringer HBP410/723G highly versatile left/right mitring bandsaw

The latest versions of two established, market leading Kaltenbach upstroking circular saws, the KKS401DRNC fully automatic universal sawing system and an SKL non-ferrous circular saw were also put through their paces during the week.
